I remember the very first day that I started to paint. I was newly divorced and wanted only to be at home with my son. On one day that I was particularly energized, I went out to the garage and found a 5' x 5' canvas that I immediately began to paint over. I used household paints and whatever was within reach and I painted and painted and painted. This was the perfect release for me.

After painting non-stop for several months, I had finished many pieces. There was one that I completed in that time that gave me great joy. Not only was this a sign to my heart to continue, but it also indicated to me that I was on a path I should continue to follow. I was inspired and driven to keep painting! As a result, I began to build a large studio and spent many days and nights painting.

I have come to realize that the heart of my painting is about connecting to the cosmic forces much greater than my own self. I have learned to get out of my own way and allow the energy of the divine to translate into each piece of art. I associate this also with my Reiki energy practice, which also utilizes universal, life force for healing.

My deeper understanding is that it is not so much about my ideas or talents as it is in the mastering of letting go… The real magic happens when I can attune to the higher frequencies and channel them into my life and paintings! This “source” is what truly inspires all of my art. As healing sessions provide an opening into greater health and understanding, these paintings are gifts of creation for all to enjoy.

The Highest Thoughts inspirational and informational prints came to be when I fully digested the belief I hold that the Universe is abundant, boundless and full of magic. I realized that beyond the concept of living in  "the box". we also tend to think inside  "the box".

I soon realized that the message  "Most People Think Inside the Box- The Universe Has No Box"  was very meaningful to me. This became my first print motivating me to continue creating meaningful and colorful prints that convey simple and uplifting messages to assist in the evolution of our collective spirituality.

I have learned to accept Love’s energy, which has been a miracle that has encouraged my life’s purpose. My goal is to continue to come from this place of service. Traveling and meeting new people continues to be a passion of mine that helps me serve those I meet on this journey. My practice of Reiki and Hypnotherapy compliment this very well. As well as creating The Higher Thoughts inspirational prints, I also enjoy contributing to my community in other ways, such as mentoring or volunteering. Over the years I have donated much of my time to both Hospice and the Red Cross.

It is a pleasure and an honor to be a part of this inevitable spiritual evolution that continues to express the mystery and beauty of the universe!
